This is because our muscle is more metabolically active than body fat, so physical activity immediate in calorie expenditure during a particular workout and also helps in burning extra calories even when our fitness routine is over.

Burning calories

Exercise and burning calories is the other half of the equation of weight loss and since a healthy weight range contributes to our general health. All kinds of exercise, including strength training, aerobic, sports and even low-level activities, which many of us don’t consider a form of exercise, help. Low level activity does burn calories, and if done long enough even at a low intensity such as when we walk for a couple of hours shopping or walking through a park, the primary source of fuel used is body fat.

Swimming uses all three energy production systems, which are the creative phosphate system, anaerobic fermentation and the aerobic system. Water sports helps in burning your calories.
