Adult acne problems are not something new. Many adults develop acne problems at an older age mostly around 30’s or 40’s. This acne problem is quite different from the one you experienced during your teenage years and is called as acne rosacea or simple rosacea.
Rosacea causes redness, flushness and even pimples on the face. Women are likely to suffer more during this age due to hormonal changes. Rosacea can also cause telangiectasias which more or less looks like broken blood vessels. The problem of rosacea will aggravate, especially for women, if they are prone to drinking or consume spicy foods. Flushing causes permanent redness on the face if ignored.
Adult Problem
Rosacea happens to occur only during adulthood. It is not the normal acne problem that occurs during teenage period. It is a type pf adult skin order which affects fair skinned people more. Many adults who develop rosacea have the habit of flushing or blushing more than often. Hormonal changes in women make them more prone to rosacea than men and the problem might result in rhinophyma.
It is very easy to detect when one suffers from rosacea. The cheeks turn red and the red patches appear all over the face and stay for a long period of time. If proper medication is not done then the redness fails to disappear and the marks remain permanent. This is a persistent problem and the symptoms return more than often. In normal cases people develop pimples and nasal bumps.
Consuming alcohol can worsen the condition but the problem of rosacea can affect non-drinkers also. Rosacea can be treated by applying gels and lotions. These gels are quite different from the ones used by young men and women, since the skin of the women especially tends to be dry when suffering from acne rosacea. These gels and lotions and sometimes antibiotic pills should be taken after consultation to prevent any serious repercussions.
Treat Rosacea Naturally
Always consult your dermatologist to get the right medicine for curing rosacea. Non-prescribed pills should not be consumed as it can cause skin irritation. Certain non prescribed medicines may contain ingredients that can further aggravate the problem. Rosacea cure should be done under prescribed medication. Generally, products with emu oils and herbs have been successful in curing the inflamed skin and also keep your skin healthy. Since these products are natural, they contain many ingredients that prove to be successful medication for rosacea. Skin irritation is reduced by almost 25% if emu oil is applied on the inflamed skin. They are natural and cleanse your skin naturally without any side effects.
Chemical contents present in gels and lotions may help to lessen the problem but cannot be administered long term. If the problem still persists, there are chances that you need to go for surgery. So, it is always better to take note of the problem at an early stage before it worsens.
Organic “kitchen” products (raw honey & olive oil) helped me get rid of a severe (rosacea) reaction I had to a face cream.
A dermatologist told me to use the “cleanest” (meaning chemical-free) ingredients/products I could find. My skin recovered and continued use of chemical-free products has left my skin looking and feeling great.
It seems research is showing that a buildup of chemicals on the skin can cause acne, dryness (leading to prematurely aging skin) and skin cancer.
Now I know how important it is to check out the ingredients in ANY product I use on my skin or hair.
When I buy anything, I choose certified organic products because I learned what the chemicals in “regular” products can do, including cause acne, dry up the skin and cause skin cancer.
Look up the ingredients in the products that are available and see what they do. I think you’ll be shocked.
