In fact the climbers prior to the start of training in rock climbing should have a good physique, controlled strength over the muscles and should be vigorous. Even though there are no specific physical requirements to get into it but the climbers are trained to develop slow twitch fibers in their muscles that do not contract rapidly and burn energy more gradually and efficiently. The process of burning calorie can also take place even if the climbing is done at a short distance of the ground on just bouldering surfaces. This is not dangerous or too taxing and even people in their 60′s can do it.
