Radiography in medical industry makes use of electromagnetic radiation so as to view the different organs of the human body. In radiographic diagnosis sophisticated medical equipments are used with wide range of techniques to image various regions of human body so as to assist the patient with appropriate treatment. Apart from the x-rays, radiography in medical industry also makes use of influential, high-end computer hardware and software like computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound to process data and performs complex multi-planar and three-dimensional rebuilding to support diagnosis.

For medical diagnosis, X-ray radiography uses an anti scatter x-ray grid which includes a substrate having material channels that are substantially non-absorbent of x-radiation. The substrate preferably covers material capable of remaining stable at the melting temperature of the given material. These grids provide necessary images for diagnosis.

The medical industry once used multiple, expensive tests to make the diagnosis and rule out the disease curing process. Radiography is started with the detection of x-rays which are type of magnetic radiations. Today radiation ranks among the most thoroughly investigated causes o f diseases. Although most of them are known for the mechanism of radiation on molecular, cellular and organ system than other health stressing agents they are always helpful.

Suitable sources of X-rays such as x-ray tubes and detectors are used for radiography in medical industry. In these equipments the most common equipment used for the detection of x-rays are photographic plates or films, in addition to it some advance methods uses photosensitive diodes.

* It also detects foreign bodies in the body provided they should be of detectable sizes

Radiography is fast technique along with its high accuracy. In some cases it is the only reliable method for diagnosis. Besides giving such precise results it is cheaper and requires limited apparatus and therefore in most of the towns radiography is easily available.
