Learning patterns are linked to learning disabilities, in that the patterns if negative can teach us unduly behaviors. When a person has learning disabilities, it is often linked to a clutter of disorders.

Claims have been made that anyone with learning disabilities may have Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorders (ADHD), schizophrenia, psychosis, and so forth. Regardless of the claims, we all have something to learn from the many people that suffer learning disabilities because of disorders.

Schizophrenia often says they are coming to take me away, or they are coming to get me. How much truth can be found in this statement? Let us consider what we can learn from this mentally deranged mind. We know the person suffering schizophrenia is subject to be institutionalizing, therefore, it is possible they are coming to get him.

We know that the world is limited and that one day we all will meet our maker, therefore, someone is coming to get them.

Turning illogical thinking into logical thoughts might be the answer for helping schizophrenias learn accordingly to their beliefs. Since schizophrenias are not enduring learning disabilities from faulty teaching necessarily, we must consider that teaching these people to learn differently than standards allow can help them learn effectively.

We know that the behaviors of these types of people are out of everyone’s control, so we need to add a touch of compassion when we are teaching people with learning disabilities.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) on the other hand, has a consistent pattern of impulsive interruptions and inattention spans that tells us that learning tactics should be consistent with the symptoms. In other words, since these people have inability to control their behaviors most times, we need to reduce the tasks and make them more enjoyable to these people, since the short tension span leads them to boredom.

Individuals’ with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder have difficulty hearing, or comprehending; and will shift topics’ while speaking. Since the sensory motor skills are affected, as well as the language, we can see a degree of mental retardation. Since mental retardation exists, we know we have to avoid expecting more from this person than what they can manage.

In other words, we cannot teach these children as if they are common ordinary people; rather we need effective Special Education programs to help them learn.

Unfortunately, most Special Ed programs will teach the child on a below average level. This only sets the child backwards and creates more chaos, since out of frustration the child may act out more often.

Unfortunately, we have many influences that are prone to disrespect the mentally ill and it creates additional problems. When a child goes to a Special Ed program few of the children may call him or her names, belittling the person and teaching this person that the ailment or learning disability is bad.

It is bad enough that these special need children have to deal with mental illness in a corrupted society, let alone deal with children that obviously were never taught respect.

I had the honor of working with special need children, and I might add that these children were often neglected, mentally tortured and abused. Sometimes, the abuse, neglect and torture came from peers and teachers.

When I went out of my way to show them I cared these children behaved wonderfully and responded to my caring by craving more of my attention. These beautiful children were willing to listen and allow me to teach them.

What a wonderful gift, since I was blessed three folds by spending time with these lovely children. As you can see, we are looking at special needs children with learning disabilities that require our undivided care and attention.

We are looking at a situation where learning disabilities require re-examination. The society teaches us to follow a set guideline, and when we cross that line, we are deemed handicaps.

The truth is after talking to thousands of people with mental handicaps I have deduced that these people are not always wrong. They may have behaviors that say they are crazy, but they have words that will knock a persons mind into another galaxy if we only take time to hear what they believe, feel, and think.
