Laser resurfacing treatment is used to prevent facial wrinkles and skin anomalies such as acne scars and blemishes. This technique is simple and it removes skin layers very precisely. Laser resurfacing is a popular skin treatment and it is called lasabrasion or laser peet or laser vaporization. Laser resurfacing technique is also used to remove wrinkles around your eyes, the forehead and the mouth.

There are two most popular ways to perform Laser resurfacing such as carbon dioxide laser resurfacing and erbium laser resurfacing. However, both treatments are used to reduce damaged skin cells of the body. This is done by amount of heat absorbed by the skin cells.

The carbon dioxide Laser resurfacing treatment uses very short energy light energy or continuous light beams that are targeted towards damage skin cells. This procedure is important to recover your damage skin cells. In this treatment, wrinkles around the eyes and mouth treated individually or full-face laserabrasion may be performed. The area on which treatment has to be performed is numbered by local anesthetic. General anesthesia is used when surgical procedure has to be performed on entire face. The complete surgical procedure may take 45 minutes to 2 hours depends on surgical treatment you have applied. The recovery procedure may take approximate 2 weeks. Patients usually seek help from doctors to get pre- surgical information.

Both erbium and carbon dioxide surgery can be performed on out patients, people usually consult with physician before surgical procedural takes place, also they may take advice from local anesthesia in combination of orally or intravenously administered sedative medications.

Laser resurfacing may involve some complications such as some people may suffer from mila, which is a small white bump, and it may appear in the laser treated areas during healing and it can be removed by a gentle cleansing with a washcloth. Increased pigmentation is another complication that people may suffer, it may appear on laser treated areas, and it may be treated with bleaching cream to speed vanishing of the pigment.

Laser resurfacing treatment is not suitable for all skin types particularly for dark skins. This technique is not used to reduce stretch marks on the face. However, it raises very little risks and people are getting very promising results from this treatment.
