It is suggested by the Health Information Forum that sleep is a natural periodic delay of the state of awareness of your body powers. It is during this time when the various body powers are restored. The closed eyes are in a state of relaxation which needs about 7-8 hours of closed-eye rest. During this period the body makes an effort to repair the damages which were incurred in the state of awareness during the day time.

Incomplete Blinking or Closure of the Eyes- Many people knowingly or unknowingly do not completely close their eyes while sleeping or do not completely blink. This may be a natural process but more commonly found among those who have had a surgery on “droopy eyelids”. People with incomplete blinking or partial closure of the eyelids face dry eye problems after the LASIK eye surgery.

Soak the tranquileyes pads in distilled water. Apply a moist cloth on your face and eyes for about 5 minutes by the time the pads are soaking are water. Now remove the moist cloth gently and place the tranquileyes for about 30 minutes or longer. Now you can sleep into your bed and enjoy the feeling of having warm, moist eyes. Tranquileyes can be worn throughout the night if you have severe dry eyes; otherwise wearing them for 30-40 minutes is enough to get the results.
