Treatment for dry eyes:
Restasis Eye drops which contain castor oil in cyclosporine base can be used. These eye drops are very useful as they stimulate your eye in increase the production of tears.
Artificial tears provide temporary relief to the eyes. Sometimes the eye may be irritated due to the preservatives contained in the drops. So preservative-free tears are required in such cases.
Punctual occlusion is another method of treatment where tiny plugs are inserted in the eye. These plugs help to slow down the rate of tear drainage from the eyes. Hence, helps to keep the moist for a longer time.
If your contact lenses add to your discomfort, then it is good to switch on to spectacle-glasses.
