Cinnamon has been around for hundreds of years as an essential spice promoted for good health. It was used in ancient Egypt and is one of many spices mentioned in the ancient writings of the Hebrews, known more commonly as the Holy Bible. It has a long list of areas it can help the body improve in such as circulation, joint aches, brain functions, etc. So extensive is this list that researchers have decided to look into the spice’s ability to fight belly fat. As you might expect, it has a basic ability to attack belly fat.
Diabetics are already using cinnamon to reduce levels of blood sugar in Type Two diabetes. Since most sugar is converted by the body and then stored as fat, the benefit of a spice that can break down sugar and pass it out of the blood stream is huge to the belly fat fighter. When the person fighting belly fat does find they are eating foods easily converted to belly fat, cinnamon may help break those items down and pass them out of the body before the body passes them into the belly area.
Cinnamon also relieves stiffness of muscles and joints, helps with digestion, helps with menstrual cramps, relieves arthritis pain, and increases circulation. These benefits combined will make a person feel better and when you feel better you are more likely to want to exercise.
Cinnamon, in recent studies, has been given in 1/2 teaspoon doses. There have been major benefits of cinnamon in these small doses given once a day. However, in the area of belly fat, almost twenty-seven percent of the people involved in the study reported a reduction of belly fat. This means that over 1/4 of the people involved had a noticeable outcome of belly fat reduction.
With all the benefits combine, the best benefit may be the price. While people are spending hundreds on diet pills and other gadgets to lose weight, cinnamon is cheap, available, and can be added to foods or simply taken as mentioned in 1/2 teaspoon doses. Some researchers are suggesting that a person should drink a combination of honey and cinnamon powder boiled in a cup of water in the morning before breakfast or at night before going to bed. The findings indicate that with the cinnamon factored into the equation on a regular basis, fat is not given time to accumulate in the body. This has been successful even with people on high calorie diets. Since cinnamon is so cheap and has so many benefits, the belly fat fighter should at least give it a shot. You may even find yourself wanting to exercise more and that would be boost too.
Cinnamon is great and tasty! I love putting it in my coffee. Great post!
