The good news is there is one simple step that most people can take to shrink belly fat by up to one inch in a rapid amount of time.</p><p>Belly fat is fat on the outside of the stomach muscle. Take a few moments to complete an Internet search for gluten free foods and you will find the companies lined up to help remove gluten from your diet. Businessmen are all day long busy deciding strategies on how to beat the competition which is rising exponentially every day. Housewives too are not spared because while the husband is away all day long because of work, she has to take care of the house, the kids and the occasional relatives. Some researchers are suggesting that a person should drink a combination of honey and cinnamon powder boiled in a cup of water in the morning before breakfast or at night before going to bed. The findings indicate that with the cinnamon factored into the equation on a regular basis, fat is not given time to accumulate in the body. This has been successful even with people on high calorie diets. Since cinnamon is so cheap and has so many benefits, the belly fat fighter should at least give it a shot. For now, let&#8217;s just look at what to do below.</p><p>Number one is to set up a goal. You need to set up a goal as to how much you want to lose. Consider what size jeans you want to fit into, and how you want to look. Write down your current weight and pants size. I know it is shameful and I did not tell you to go show everyone, just write down your weight and pants size. Now, that should be at the top of the page and at the bottom of the page write down your target weight and pants size. All that space between is to show progress (numbers should go down not up). Each week at the end of the week, write down your weight and pants size at that time. Don&#8217;t expect a quick change.</p><p>Number two is change eating habits. Eat foods that are diabetic menus and cut out calories as much as possible and cut out gluten based foods</p><p>Number three is cut out the eating out. If you have to eat out, don&#8217;t get anything in the large size and remember the calories of the foods you are eating.</p><p>Number four is increase calcium intake. Take a pill if required, but push your calcium levels up to 1300 to 1500 mg per day.</p><p>Number five is kick out the sodas. Cut sodas out of your diet and focus on water. Even energy drinks can be bad and have sugar, including the healthy ones.</p><p>Number six is increase meals. This goes without saying when looking at the diabetic meal plan, but you should have about six, small meals a day.</p><p>Number seven is exercise. Get into a routine of ten minutes a day of excise and stick to it. Look online for great tips in this area.</p><p>Number eight is stop drinking alcohol. It goes right to the belly and produces the &#8220;beer gut&#8221; that is so dreaded.</p><p>Number nine is don&#8217;t eat late. Cut out those snacks between your last meal and bedtime. There is no way you will burn that energy while sleeping.</p><p>Number ten and last is simple, stick with it. This second side of the coin is what many new research studies are finding about the good old standby, coffee.</p><p>Coffee tends to deplete the body of many needed minerals and hormones. One such hormone is DHEA. When DHEA is taken out of the body it can be a very bad thing for those thirty-five and over trying to lose that belly fat. DHEA is a growth hormone found in the body, but as mentioned it decreases after about the age of thirty-five. At this point, the body starts to store more fat. The body prepares the fat and sends it right to belly for storage. Physicians are recommending that at age thirty-five and forward, people should take a DHEA supplement of about twenty-five milligrams. Now add coffee into the equation with the fact it takes DHEA out and you have all the makings for a fat belly.</p><p>Another problem with the coffee is caffeine. At this point you are likely thinking that caffeine is one of the main ingredients in diet pills. Unfortunately caffeine also stimulates the adrenal glands and causes them to produce cortisol. That is the bad word you hear on late night television and it goes right to belly. The result is what many experts call caffeine belly fat.</p><p>There are alternatives though. Experts are suggesting green tea, sugar free drinks, and other drinks that will sometimes help with the loss of coffee. The mornings in front of the coffee machine will never be the same and you&#8217;ll likely still enjoy the smell of fresh coffee grounds, but in the end you will be better off. In fact, you may be the only one holding a drink still able to see your own toes without bending. If you are hooked on coffee, you may want to break away gradually to avoid severe headaches sometimes associate with caffeine withdraws. At this time there are still a lot of &#8220;maybes&#8221; in the pool of answers, but the study seems to indicate that belly fat is one of the top fats dropped with the use of whole grains.</p><p>Whole grains help by lowering blood levels of C-reactive protein (CRP). This CRP is an inflammatory that increases risk of high blood sugar and thus heart trouble. By getting these out of the body, the body is able to continue to process other items on out without slowing down.</p><p>The Pen State study was conducted with fifty men and women. They were all obease and had fat centrally located in the belly. Calories were cut of the diet, but some of the participants were told to make sure that all their grain serviers came from whole grains such as whole-grain cereal, oatmeal and brown rice. The other group was told to use refined grains such as white bread and foods made out of flour. At the end of the twelve week period both groups had lost weight. However, the group with brown rice and whole grains lost more belly fat and their CRP had decreased by thirty-eight percent.</p><p>Further studies are showing that brown rice diets concerntrate on belly fat. In other words diets filled with daily amounts of brown rice and other whole grains work belly fat better than diets simply targeting weight loss. Several sites on the Internet are promoting the &#8220;Brown Rice Diet&#8221; with suggestions of fruite, grains, vegetables, beans and olive oil. These diets even allow for non-fat dairy and seafood in them.</p><p>While the above studies are new it may surprise you to know how old the &#8220;Rice Diet&#8221; is. Walter Kempner developed the diet while working at Duke University. He tested the diet, but his focus was on hypertension at the time. He soon found that it also helped diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Kempner also wanted to focus, as he wrote, on &#8220;bringing oxygen to tissues&#8221;. His method had several good health benefits and not the least of them was losing belly fat, though he was not concerned with this at the time. Today, Kempner might have focused more on belly fat considering the world&#8217;s population and problems with belly fat, but not when he was working. Well let us first of all find out what exactly causes this belly fat.</p><p>Belly fat is a result of fat deposits in the body. Most of the people today have little time or inclination or both towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Most of the people are short on time because of the cut throat competition at work which makes them work harder and longer in a bid to keep their job and get quick promotions. Not only this, such people hardly find any time to eat, let alone to have a relook at their lifestyle. And under these circumstances these people start eating unhealthy foods which arouse the taste-buds but damage the body from inside.</p><p>These foods are the junk foods that we are so used to eating nowadays. Often due to lack of time, people find it a good alternative to rush to a burger joint and grab a quick bite into a burger, fries and cola. And then rush back to work. All this takes just a few minutes to eat and gulp down but takes weeks for the body to wash away. All these foods are rich in calories and low on vitamins and minerals. This means that all that you are making yourself is a fat gulping sack.</p><p>When you eat such foods, they keep getting stored in the body as fats and eventually appear on the stomach as a belly. Apart from this fat belly is also caused by lack of exercise. Most of us are so used to driving around in a car that even to travel a few blocks we take it out. We deny our body even a bare minimum chance of exercise by taking elevators and escalators even to reach just the second floor. New studies from the University of Tennessee indicates that calcium filled diets, with no change in other food intakes, can reduce belly fat by up to two point eight times. The focus of the Tennessee diet was on a 1200 mg a day Calcium with no other changes. There was no change in eating, no change in exercise, and no change in daily eating habits. Without any modification at all except for an increase of Calcium, people in the study saw a reduction in jean sizes and the shrinkage of belly fat.</p><p>It used to be a fun topic of conversation to take a piece of raw meat, place it in a glass, pour Coke into it and watch the acid of the Coke eat away at the meat. Science teachers across America used the example of Coke eating raw meat to show young people the effects that too much soda would have on stomachs. In much the same manner, Calcium attacks fat cells. While you won&#8217;t see the dramatic fizzle given by Coke, the University of Tennessee reports that fat in a test tube has no chance against Calcium. The Calcium starts to break down the fat cells almost immediately, but more importantly it targets the type of fat known to reside in the belly area.</p><p>Fortunately, fat found in the belly area is different then fat found in the hips, arms, legs, and other areas. Belly fat is usually the first fat attacked once Calcium is introduced into the body system in large quantities. The results are astonishing. Calcium focuses on the belly fat, breaks it down, sends it through the body and out as waste. The amazing part of the University of Tennessee&#8217;s study is that nothing else was changed. Most physicians are recommending a Calcium rich diet of between 1200 mg a day to 1300 mg a day. This doesn&#8217;t mean you&#8217;ll be at the table all day drinking milk; fortunately there are dozens of manufactures making Calcium pills. The average consumer will not take in 1200 mg of Calcium a day without the substitute of Calcium pills. The challenge is simple, start on Friday with 1200 to 1300 mg of calcium and continue through Monday and at the end of the weekend see if the jean size has shrunk. Pay close attention to the amount of Calcium in each pill as most have around 650 mg per pill, so two pills should bring the body up to the recommended 1300 mg. Yeah, right there, do you see 6 packs or do you see a small paunch? Or maybe even a decent sized paunch. It is not a sign of being healthy and full of energy but a sign of an unhealthy body.</p><p>Fat belly is one of the most disgusting things because not only does it make you look ugly but it also slows you down. You cannot walk fast, run faster or even walk with a balanced step because you have a fat belly.</p><p>But why and how did you get this fat belly? Well, let me tell you how most of us were gifted with this fat belly? In today&#8217;s world what is costlier than gold is time. People are running against time in a bid to make more money, to earn fame and to earn more respect. But all this at what cost? Is it all really worth it? Yes, it is all worth it if you are not losing your health and reducing your lifespan in a bid to achieve all these things. All the materialistic things have become far more important to most of us than our health and fitness. Most of us work anywhere between 40-60 hours a week in order to maintain a great lifestyle but after such along day&#8217;s work we hardly find any time to exercise our body. And every morning it is again a mad rush against time to get ready and reach for work.</p><p>So ultimately what happens is that we end up eating our regular meals but not doing any exercise. This starts showing on our body and the first signs appear on the stomach where you start seeing a small and harmless paunch which later develops into fat belly.</p><p>Aiding all this is the fact that our eating habits have been so drastically altered that we prefers to eat fast food over vegetables and fruits. A recent study conducted in UK showed that 4 out of 10 kids under the age of 8 have never eaten a single fruit in their life. Don&#8217;t you find this condition scary?</p><p>All of us know how important it is to maintain a proper balance of all the nutrients in our diet on a daily basis yet we still ignore it.
