A familiar sight that greets most people every morning is the huge rush to the gym every morning and evening. This is because there is an increasing and very disturbing trend of rising calorie problem and the risk of diseases due to high calorific intake is rising continuously. Apart from the gym, individuals are advised to indulge in other extensive cardio exercises so that the calorie level of an individual declines significantly.

Health Exercise

Cardio exercises basically refer to those activities that utilize the oxygen at a rate in which the cardio respiratory system can refill oxygen in the muscles that are involved in the activities. There are a large number of such cardio exercises that are perfect to burn the calories without causing any major physical stress to the individual. Some of the important cardio exercises are as follows:

Running or Jogging: This activity is recommended for people of all ages. It does not require any special equipment or skill on the part of the individual. The advantage is that running or jogging can burn up to 300 calories in 30 minutes. However, the individual must gradually build up the speed and time of running or else it would be harmful for the individual.

Cycling: Bicycling is one of the best cardio exercises that a person can indulge in to burn the excess calories. It puts significant amount of pressure on the entire body, especially on the legs of the individual. Regular bicycling can burn anything up to 250-500 calories in as less as 30 minutes. Bicycling also enhances the resistance and endurance of the individual, which is even more beneficial for the individual.

Swimming: Swimming is yet again an exercise that provides exercise for the entire body. The different types of strokes in swimming can help a great deal in reducing the level of calories in the body. As many as 400 calories can be burned within half an hour of continuous breast stroke.

Walking: Last but certainly not the least, the activity of brisk walking is immensely helpful for burning excess calories. Walking for about 2-5 kilometers per day would definitely help in reducing the calories among an individual and making him extremely fit and healthy.

Cardio exercises are preferred by all as they do not require any expertise or particular tools on the part of the individual. He only needs to make sure that he does not over do the cardio exercises.
