Virus is the cause of herpes. The dogs having weak immune system are attacked by parasite mite causing demodectic mange. If the dog is healthy or adult or an adolescent then it may not result in death of the dog. The dogs who are very young or those are very old could not withstand the virus attack. CHV-1 which is also known as canine herpes virus is considered to be very infectious; it is mostly transmitted through vaginal and nasal excretions of adult or oronasal from the puppies those are infected.

The outbreak of CHV in puppy or foetus largely occurs at the infection time such as:

* During early pregnancy it could result in death of foetus.

* During mid pregnancy it could result in abortion.

* During late pregnancy it could result in premature birth.

* If it occurs after birth and 2 or 3 weeks age it could result in death within few days.

* The puppies who are older then few weeks becomes severely ill.

The company says that canine herpes virus is contagious and infectious which is cause by virus known as alpha herpes virus, it involves disorders due to reproduction and loss of life of puppies with in three weeks.
